Porch & Boundary wall
Rod and his team recently completed the construction of our porch and boundary wall. House renovations & Structural work

Brick wall driveway & Garage roof
I used RJ construction to build our brick wall driveway and garage roof. They completed the work to a high professional standard, whilst keeping it tidy and finished at the scheduled time. I would highly recommend them to do any building work and will definitely use them again in future.

Front garden
I employed RJ Currie to replace an existing front garden wall and to erect wooden gate posts and mount a heavy set of vintage wooden gates for my driveway. The wall was in keeping with other properties in a conservation area. I can honestly say I was very pleased with all aspects of the work, from complete removal of the old wall and the building of the new wall in a traditional style set off with tiling, coping bricks and pillars. The existing gates were fitted to new wooden posts and fitted perfectly. At every stage Rod and his team were courteous and friendly and all work was done to a high standard and with attention to detail. I have no hesitation in recommending R.J. Currie for your building work.

Excellent Build Quality and Service
Rod and his team a few weeks ago completed a complete window change on our Stable Conversion property in Surrey (Replaced very small front inadequate windows with large ones) therefore had to also provide a new in keeping Lintels and window sills etc. This job was carried out in the agreed timeframe and professionally. Previously at our last property Rod and the team carried out a single story extension for us, which was again finished to a high standard. If I had the opportunity to build a property from scratch I would call RJCurrie. I also believe their pricing is more in line with fair than some other building firms based in the RH postcode, due to the knowledge that a lot of RH based firms know the top line they can achieve, due to a lot of Ex London based families now living here. Innovate, Renovate then Celebrate
Our architect designed a modern contemporary home full of innovative ideas. Finding the right builder is key to the successful creation of your dreams and designs. We decided to use RJ Currie as our contractor of choice and never looked back. Building is stressful and presents many choices no matter how much planning has been done. Rod made the process simple with clear guidance, strategies and timescales. We put Rod and his team to the test with our innovative designs but he was able to see our vision and bring our designs and aspirations to life. His team are friendly, reliable and punctual. No request was too much and no job was too big. Our build took nearly a year from October 2016 to August 2017 and in that time Rods team have become more than just "The Builders". I know that any future builds or arising problems Rod will be there to help.

Internal Building Work
Rod and his team carried out some recent work for us, they knocked through 2 kitchen walls put up support beams, installed a new kitchen, downstairs shower room and wood flooring throughout the downstairs. They did all this while my wife, two small children and I were still living here. Rod and his team were very accommodating to our needs, going the extra mile to ensure that the kitchen was finished to a high standard, despite problems with the manufacturers. I was also impressed with the fact that, since first contact, Rod has done everything he said he would, unlike many other builders I have had contact with. I would highly recommend R J Currie and would definitely use them again in future.

Porch
R J Currie recently built us a porch on the front of our house in Crawley from August to September 2015 and they have done an amazing job, they constructed the new porch before coming into the house to install a downstairs toilet and the finish of the work is of a very high standard, they were efficient, clean and tidy throughout and were very polite and professional. Rod supplied the entire service from start to finish and ensured we were not stressed throughout the whole process. his communication was good and each day he updated us with progress and kept us informed throughout. I would highly recommend R J Currie for any future works.

Double Side Extension & single rear extension
Rod and his team built us a double storey side extension and a single storey rear extension on our house between April and July 2015. We decided to use RJ Currie as they come highly recommended in Crawley as reliable and honest builders. we are extremely happy with the work done by Rod and his team and they have adapted our property to fit our needs with our growing family. Rod has given us a huge spacious family living room, a new master bedroom with en-suit of ample size, updated the family bathroom and made our kitchen a really nice sized space for us to be able to dine in as well. the work done by Rod and his team is of a very high standard and they were very good with their communication with us and kept the place tidy as they worked more importantly Rod kept within the budget we had agreed. Kitchen & Living Room Extension & New Patio
Rod Currie and his team between April and September 2014 built a large Kitchen / Living room extension on the back on our detached property in Reigate Surrey. We decided to use RJ Currie mainly on recommendation as I was very concerned about falling in with a bad builder as I had never taken on a building project! At the end of the build I am extremely happy with the outcome, the extra space has transformed our house downstairs from being a dark multi roomed unworkable space into a fantastic family living area. One of the main aspects to commend is the quality of the build its self. Depending on the finish you would like Rod will give you options to take dependent on your budget (which is very handy!) Importantly for me I could always get hold of Rod when I needed (via mobile) and he always returned any missed calls within the hour. Within the extension we had a new kitchen installed / Oak Engineered Flooring Installed / New Wall Radiator Installed / New Windows and a Skylight, Electrics and Plumbing! They 99% of the time arrived on time and would call if they were not going to be in (due to bad weather etc) All members of his team were very friendly and polite to deal and were very grateful for any tea provided! After the build they were happy to come back and sort out any snagging without complaint. They also laid an Indian Sandstone Patio for us with a sleeper wall which is lovely. Single Storey Extension and Loft Conversion
Rod and his team built a single storey side extension and a loft conversion on my end of terrace house. Rod gave a lot of good advice to help make decisions and he's always available to speak to. His team work hard and are very respectable in their approach. They arrived on time and would ensure that they cleared up before leaving. Me and my family are very happy with the end result and would recommend Rod and the team.

Repairs and Maintenance to Business Property
I would thoroughly recommend Rod and his team. They carried out a variety of jobs from the repairing and repainting of our building facade to re-pointing the chimney and some redecorating inside. They stuck to the quoted price even coming in under budget on one job. The team were tidy, on time, reliable and kept us up to date with the progress of the work. I would definitely use them again with on going maintenance of the building.

House Renovation
Rod and his team did a complete renovation of our house in Reigate between May and July of 2013 and we couldn't be happier with the project. We chose Rod based on positive reviews but you are always apprehensive given the horror stories you hear. Aside from the from the great final results Rod is: - Always available and easy to contact - Responsive - Transparent in his pricing and timings and happy to provide receipts for goods/materials etc - There was never pressure to use his suppliers and he was happy to offer impartial advice whenever asked - Runs a tidy and organised building site Rod was always on the end of the phone and happy to meet with us to keep us fully up to date, this is reassuring when you have multiple work going on. Extension - Crawley
Rod is a great communicator, he is very knowledgeable and straight forward. He informed us of the next steps throughout, making us aware of the potential problematic areas, so there were no nasty surprises! A considerable amount of planning and co-ordination was put into his team’s work schedule, ensuring the team knew what was expected and ensuring all the preparation was done ahead of time. As with most things there were delays (out of the teams control), yet they were able to react accordingly and adjust the daily tasks. Rod and his team were brilliant; they were reliable, professional, providing me with advice on alternatives to get a better result, despite me thinking my way was the right way! The results are excellent, our extension was completed to a very high standard and our friends and family have commented on how great it looks! I would thoroughly recommend R.J. Currie for any extension, building work or maintenance.

Two-storey extension
We worked with Rod Currie Construction on a large two-storey extension to our house starting in late 2011 and finishing in May 2012. The project has been a major success. It came in on budget and has been completed to a high quality standard by Rod and his team. Rod is an experienced, knowledgeable and reliable builder with plenty of good ideas about design and alternative build options. Communication between us and Rod was excellent. If and when we have other construction projects - big or small - we would not hesitate to use Rod.

Totally Reliable
I discovered Rod Currie’s services some 10 years ago when he was repairing a neighbour’s roof. Rod noticed that some tiles on my property were broken and dropped a note through my door, making me aware of the problem. In due course I asked him to effect the repairs, which he did quickly, efficiently and at a reasonable price. Since then, recognising my own non-existent DIY skills, I have engaged his company for numerous and varied maintenance tasks, many of which have resulted from shoddy work by the original builders of the property. Those tasks have been both large and small, ranging from internal and external decorating, repairing various water leaks and their associated damage, fixing a major external drainage/flooding problem and, most recently, installing an enlarged shower and associated wet-room. In all these jobs, Rod and his tradesmen have acted with professionalism, speed and, very importantly, at reasonable cost. The quality of the work has been of the highest standard throughout and his diligence in ensuring a fault-free end product has been most impressive. His company is always my first port of call for any work I require for the house and I have absolutely no hesitation in strongly recommending his services to others, as I have already done through “Which? Local.”

Excellent all round
Rod was fantastic from the start of our extension project. Really helpful with planning and was always willing to answer questions we had. His team were fantastic and the work impeccable. Our extension took longer than expected (no one’s fault) but the standard was fantastic, and when I changed my mind about things it wasn't a problem. Would thoroughly recommend R.J.
